You can shoot lead reloads thru a stock Glock barrel provided you keep the velocity at about 1000fps or slightly under.

Most are pretty hard say 17-21 bh. A flat based bullet cast @ 10 bh would possibly be soft enough to make a good fit and seal off preventing blow by which causes the majority of leading. It broke my extractor and blew the magazine out of the gun. I then ordered a lone wolf aftermarket barrel and have had no more problems with bulged brass or a ka-boom.

I shot quite a few plated bullets through my GLOCKs so far without problems, BUT with a GLOCK it's better if you shoot jacketed bullets because of its polygonal shaped barrel. I have been told that you should not shoot lead bullets through a Glock because of leading. Is there any truth to this. All barrels can lead up. I shot a lot of lead hand loads through by Bretta 9mm and had some leading but I was able to remove it. No problem, the gun still works great.
